Good opportunity for Burns, difficult fight for him but not impossible to beat Broner and with the possible US exposure if he can pull it off then he would be in a great position to get a big name fight after that.

Looks like this will be the undercard for Donaire who is said to be fighting on HBO on that date.

    Interesting. :think

Curious date. I wonder if they'll show it live from Scotland in the afternoon (like they did with Wlad v Haye)

They must have made a good offer......

It's a brilliant opportunity for Ricky, imagine what could come from turning over an unbeaten American on HBO.

It's what we've all wanted, so any person making negative comments can :finger

I think it will be in the States. We got McDermott Vs Price on Nov 5 which will surely be on Sky so hopefully Sky show it live at 3AM.

There's been a lot of criticism for Ricky's defences so far, almost all of it justified, but fair play to him if this comes off. Good luck to the lad

It may be but I just don't think its a big enough fight to headline an HBO broadcast.

    Agreed.
Surely HBO will get something else to main event?

I would still prefer if he got his hands on Fana & that ring belt first... but he can take care of that after he beats Broner I suppose...:smoke

I won't forget the garbage he has fought but this is a very good step up and a good fight. Burns deserves credit if he has the cahones to take this fight.

However, he will take his hiding in this one.
