don't get to comfortable craney,i never said i liked you, still think you post a load of bollocks and don't know much, and think you are a troll and been here before, you know far to much about this place and its posters to be a new poster.****s just wind this oldish man up:deal

i don't agree that burns is domestic level,he is far far above that, but fighting walsh who is far below kats/martinez and mitchell is a step to far.

Good domestic scrap this one, hey at least this ones under the age of 86 and not toast/of sound back and not an afribum.

Once Broner dismantles demarco that shits on anything Burns has achieved at this weight aside and Martinez aside in his career

one fighter at 22 is top dog in the division the other one at 22 is rolling about on the floor against Carl Johannsson

It's a bull**** fight.Purely a money maker and F-Wank better be careful or he'll end up dealing with a serious backlash here.I can just picture the only two people who will be happy outside of the Walsh camp and it won't be Ricky or Billy.
The only way this will be smoothed over is if Ricky fights a genuine top 3 next year. You can make a good case for it being a keep busy fight but there should be no belt on the line.
Craney,McGuinty and the others of that ilk are perfectly entitled to have their moment to gloat here. It's a real kick in the balls for Ricky's fans.

    He's from Glasgow Craney,not Wallsend.

    I ain't gloating mate...............:hey

Ricky Burns is punching above his weight, but being kept domestic by W-arren for as long as possible. At the moment, he is more domestic than a housewife. I feel sory for Ricky!

To even get his trainer Billy Nelson on here having a go at me yesterday for asking what his next fight will be, John Murray or Kevin Mitchell II?

And today we get told its Liam Walsh, just HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA :rofl

Those are both better fights!

I honestly don't think Billy or Ricky had a clue what this next fight was until today. A complete and utter joke.

    It's a dreadful fight,and if you were gloating,I wouldn't blame you.

TBH,I have to say that although I'm disappointed,I'm not shocked. You have to understand that Ricky is a big earner for two people in particular. They know Ricky is loyal and won't kick up a stink, and I can just imagine how this went down.I don't begrudge Ricky an earner, but there's momentum building here. Why **** all over it?
All you have to do is watch any post-fight interview of Ricky's from the last couple years.Watch what he says anytime he's asked about who he'll be fighting next.
Ricky was getting goodwill stateside, and that will evaporate if certain people don't pull their **** together.
But I suspect they don't care.:-(

And the worst of it is,Ricky toils when he's heavily favoured. He thrives on being the underdog and I wouldn't be shocked if he makes hard work of this.
All they had to do was leave the belt out of it,and this would be OK.

this fight is a joke but its forgivable if he gets the winner of demarco broner early next year. i think the only reason ricky and billy would have took that fight is if they were promised a unification next year. after the easy way he dealt with mitchell i was expecting a tough-ish top ten opponent for burns!
all this talk of burns previous fights at lightweight not being world level, making burns a 'domestic level' fighter is complete bull**** but this one is certainly a step back to domestic level for the rickster. i cant defend this! poor show from fwank.

Well have you thought that, that fight may not happen? If Broner or De Marco win, do you really think one of them will want to fight somebody who has just fought someone sat at 59?

Or will the likelihood of a rematch increase? Or will the winner look at other fighters in the top 10.

This fight against Walsh doesn't help Ricky, and it could be the case that he doesn't get a fight against the winner of the Broner, De Marco fight at all because of this.

The champ wants to see that you can make money and have a good resume. There may be bigger fish to fry for Broner and De Marco.

Sad but true. Ricky could end up getting screwed by cautious Fwank.

i really rate walsh as a prospect, he's tough! some will fancy him to give a good account of himself against burns but imo its wrong on a few levels putting him in the ring with burns. burns is going to win easily, maybe even bashing him up bad. some might say its good experience for walsh but these type of fights can ruin fighters! far too early for walsh. has he even faught at lightweight yet? burns is a beast at the weight now, how is walsh going to deal with burns strengh never mind his boxing ability? this fight isnt just wrong for burns reputation, its all wrong for walsh as well. poor fight on many levels.

well we'll have to wait and see mate. i dont trust fwank thats for sure. i think he'll get burns a unification fight eventually, the question is when? the right time is early next year but who knows in this sport. one thing i know for sure is the broner camp are shouting out burns, they see him as easy meat but if demarco wins will his camp want burns???

I'm pretty sure Broner will go undefeated his entire career. He may have some contentious decisions, but the Heymans will make sure he wins. Don't you worry about that. :hey

I said earlier there is a reason why all top fighters leave W-arren, if there wasn't a problem, he'd keep his fighters, the fact of the matter is, Mr. W-arren is in it for money and if it means screwing his workhorses, so be it. That's why they all leave and do what Calzaghe did, or go to another promoter.

If Ricky is wise, he'll do the same whilst he is still at the top of his game. :good
