Katsidis was shot to **** everyone in the boxing world acknowledged this. Belran is genuine world class,but he schooled Ricky and you know it ,otherwise you and eddie would of made the rematch.The farce of u not giving beltran his oppourtunity after he dropped ricky and clearly won the fight is worse then froch avoiding groves.

 

Steve Robinson,Tom Johnson,Manuel Medina,Vuyani Bungu,Wayne McCullough,Wilfredo Vasquez,Paul Ingle and Kevin Kelley were all world champions at one stage or another.Doesnt matter if you think they were elite or not they were champions,how many world champions has Ricky beaten?How many times has he fought in America?How many titles has he unified?Say what you want about Naz but his achievements are on another level to anything Ricky has done.

 

Naz's record speak's for itself, but there's no need to degrade Ricky's achievements. Burns has also beaten world champions in Roman Martinez, Nicky Cook and Paolus Moses. Also Katsidis was the WBO interim champion and Jose Gonzalez should win a world title in the future.

 

I think the Gonzalez win is going to look better and better for Burns the more years pass by, he's a very talented fighter.

 

That's right boxing has a habit of doing that. Wins that don't look that great at first go on to look better. Recent examples are Calzhage-Hopkins and Khan-Maidana.

In hindsight people can say Katsidis was shot to **** but everyone before hand was expecting Katsidis to KO Ricky and his power to be too much but Ricky took his shots and boxed well in that fight.
