Nipple, I have been coming on this site for two decades now and I can tell you Ricky Burns does not get waaayyy too much love, in fact he gets tons of crap, a lot of it deserved due his knobhead of a trainer.

However if Burns was to fight Mitchell, I will be betting on Burns, he is too tall, not crude, and will easily box rings around Mitchell, maybe even a late stoppage.

Na, he is just my favourite fighter who is from my end of the woods, who supports my football team. So it's easy for me to relate.*

But I do try to look at the fight rationally. Burns should be the favourite. After all, he has beaten the better fighters. But I just think Mitchell takes this. He has very good boxing skills, a fast accurate jab, and pretty good power. His defensive is also underrated, and he has a fine chin should that let him down. I also think he has more variety in his work (his left hook followed by the left uppercut combination is world class IMO).

Burns should keep the fight at long range, and Mitchell should look to get inside and make it a war.*

Whether it happens at Upton Park or some astro turf shithole on Scotland, Mitchell is have his fans there (myself included). But it needs to happen this year

Ricky is not even proven world class IMO. I believe he is, but he's not beat the oppisition to justify it.

Yes it's his job to turn up 100% but he doesn't so it's a valid point.
I am giving Burns credit for not going off the rails like Mitchell and
also think he'll win so chill ya beans slim.

Clearly not, your post was terrible, Burns is a favourite but you say it's a clear mismatch against a guy who is a proven good operator in Mitchell. :-(

Yep i remember watching weigh in, me and HH both said at same time 'man against boy'. Kevin looks slightly stronger but not much. Burns is ridiculously big for weights. Kid has to have some eating disorder .

Of course, I wish Mitchell the best. I've never been truly sold on him but he's a tough kid. The last 18 months of excuses and stupidity turned me off him but i hope he can have success and lead a clean life.

Sadly Kevin probably will never live the life of a boxer but live the life of a fighter..

I'll stress again, Burns is quickly growing on me. He is A LOT better than his record suggests (those Super Feather defences were a joke, he is better than that), but Mitchell has really quality. Just watch :yep

The only thing with Ricky is he fights to level of oppo, when called upon he's produced the goods. I've seen him look ordinary against Al Hamidi then look brilliant against Martinez.

Do you feel Kev needs to be a bit more aggressive against Burns or box on back foot?.

There is a whole pile of positive **** being spouted about Mitchell and he's done very little in the past to justify it. Burns picks him apart bit by bit...wonder what the excuses will be this time
