Burns promoter got him this fight becuase he knows Burns is not world level but can make money of the scottish mugs who pay to see Burns fight anyone in the top 1000
Burns v Appleby was gonna be next but obviously Laryea came and spoilt the party but instead of Burns sitting around for 8 or 9 months (short compared to some of todays champs) he took the Laryea fight which im sure he knows isnt gonna be too tough (although he's not to be underestimated) and at least he keeps busy. Maybe Warren was the one who jumped the gun a bit coz an all scottish world title fight would have been great for scottish boxing and would have made plenty of £££ Warren putting the tickets up a tenner for this fight is pretty **** though considering its not a big name.
