Ill give you the concise version. Ricky on top form is a better fighter hands down. Figueroa is a good fighter, but he is getting overated like Estrada was before the mitchell fight. If Ricky actually fights like he can, provided he isnt shot, i see a wide decision win for Ricky.
Unless the Ricky of old turns up I just can't see it happening. His style that he's changed since leAving billy nelson is all wrong for Figueroa.
Would love to see Ricky do well, but i'm not convinced he has what it takes anymore, i hope i'm wrong.
I love this "Ricky on top form beats..." - Change the record already! Ricky's best days are behind him, this is a fact. He can't pull the trigger, is scared of getting hit more than he ever has been and is on the downward spiral. "But you oughta see him in sparring!" Zzzz. But even if Ricky loses this fight people will still say "Ricky on top form beats..." Convinced that he is still in his prime when he hasn't been in a good while.
Figueroa batters this version of burns and stops him and imo beats the old better version of burns too. Fig is no atg but he is good hits hard and keeps coming
after looking pretty bad for 6 fights in a row, we now can safely conclude his best days are behind him. Figueroa will beat him easily and possibly stop him.
Agree massively with this thread. Burns hand speed will be too much for Figueroa and as long as he keeps his feet moving and keeps off the ropes he'll outbox him.
Anyone who thinks Burns will win is either biased, deluded or is just clueless. not trying to be mean but i'm just being honest. A prime version of Burns wouldn't be guaranteed a winner vs Omar, let alone this shot version.
