:patsch A guy who has fought Tszyu (champ 140, #3 p4p), Castillo (#8 p4p, #1 contender at 140), Mayweather (#1 p4p), Malignaggi (#1 contender), Urango (current #5 at 140), Lazcano (#10 when they fought), Tackie (top 10 at the time), Collazo (#8 at 147) and is about to fight another p4p #1 does not need to prove himself by fighting a guy who's never been anywhere near any pound for pound list. The only people ever suggesting Witter has been a main rival are those who are looking for a stick to beat Hatton with and have done so solely on the spurious grounds that they happent o share a country of birth. Rivalry has to be two ways, not just about one fighter's pathological jealousy of the other. The responsibility was on Witter to make the fight by coming up with a sensible and reasonable offer, which for all his bleating in the press he never did. He was happy trying to make a name for himself by talking about Hatton. Why don't the same standards apply to him anyway? His opposition from Judah to Ndou was FAR worse than anything Hatton ever fought. Yet people on here actively make excuses for him. What about that last scrub he fought, no criticism at all. Why is that I wonder?

Jesus Christ. Did you pull that comparison out of your arse?

Even Eamon Magee was a better opponent than Junior 'stink out the joint' Shitter.

Well that's fair enough, you make no bones about it. I have nothing against him either, just the ridiculous double standards that seem to exist where he and Hatton are concerned.

Not sure about that, but I know Witter turned him down when they were proposed to meet in an eliminator with the winner getting the fight with Hatton. Hence, Magee got it instead. Pretty strange behaviour for a fight you claim to have always dreamed about.

Yeah of course he was stupid thats why ALL boxing domestic independants had him ranked at 3 behind Witter. And have you even seen the Judah Witter fight or you repeating the same bollocks from Hatton drones on que? :patsch

    oh yes. :yep

witter won the british against alan bosworth (near enough a journeyman)

the commonwealth against laatakwei hammond (yeah i'm not sure either :yep)

the european against salvatore battaglia (an italian who ain't even the best in his own country).

    hardly great pedigree opponents.

hatton beat better guys than that in his wbu reign.
