The responsibility was on Witter to make the fight by coming up with a sensible and reasonable offer, which for all his bleating in the press he never did. He was happy trying to make a name for himself by talking about Hatton. Why don't the same standards apply to him anyway? His opposition from Judah to Ndou was FAR worse than anything Hatton ever fought. Yet people on here actively make excuses for him. What about that last scrub he fought, no criticism at all. Not sure about that, but I know Witter turned him down when they were proposed to meet in an eliminator with the winner getting the fight with Hatton. Hence, Magee got it instead. Pretty strange behaviour for a fight you claim to have always dreamed about.

oh yes. :yep witter won the british against alan bosworth (near enough a journeyman) the commonwealth against laatakwei hammond (yeah i'm not sure either :yep) the european against salvatore battaglia (an italian who ain't even the best in his own country). hardly great pedigree opponents. hatton beat better guys than that in his wbu reign.
