    :good Interesting.

These were evidently pretty good choices for 'outpointing but not sparking' Ricky Hatton. Loi is a bit of a mystery, the only one I'm blissfully ignorant about. Pretty record for sure, seems a non-puncher. I might look into how legit his record is, and whether there was home cooking involved.

I'd bet my life (well, not literally!!!) on Ross-Hatton going the distance and Hatton losing the decision

I replied to all of 'em I think, bar Perkins and Loi, simply as I've never watched either of them fight.

Canzoneris % isn't massive, but the footage we have of him paint him as a very good puncher IMO, especially as it's ATG opposition he's punching holes in and not random footage of him sparking journeyman like we have of say, Pascual Perez. When you consider how much he will land on Ricky, I really can't see it going the distance. Canzoneri, evidently was one of the most unorthodox and brilliant offensive machines of all time.

Carlos Ortiz impresses me a lot. I think he's a bit underrated, maybe its because he's got a boring name. The people he fought, and the closeness of his losses. The man was never beaten cleanly apart from when he was past it (Buchanan). Avenged 3 of those losses as well which is a sign of good character and beat his share of HOF'ers.

Also I tick a box for Ortiz's willingness to bring out his passport. He took on a couple of thankless tasks. Locche in Argentina and Loi in Italy where they camped their entire career and built up astonishing records?

Yep, as I said in Choi earlier, Ortiz is easily top 35 of all time for me.

Greg is the best person to ask for opinions of Loi and Perkins, but e rarely seems to post anymore, which is a shame.

Locche won a few "squeakers" on points in Argentina, his style was never going to rip the title away from the champion away from home though.
