This. I was a huge Ricky detractor, but the guy gets straight underrated lately.

Good pressure boxer/mauler with good speed and a really good body attack. He's not an ATG, but he was champ for a reason: Damn fine fighter. Vince had a damn fine performance once, but a great fighter he was not, and a big part of his Tsyzu success was Kostya fighting the kind of fight Vince could be most successful in: A bombfest with right hands at mid range.

Hatton at his best would not give him those options, and Phillips never showed, even in his best performances, he could force them.

Ability wise Vince was actually underrated ,he really was as good as the night he beat KT.. I had seen alot of Vince on the way up and knew he would beat KT, everyone called it a huge upset they just slept on Vince.. He was really just an underachiever but ability wise far from overrated.

And i also believe Hatton has become underrated too.

Thats because he was an underachiever,,,Also had a bad drug problem, which explains alot.

Talent wise he was the whole package this^^ was his only weakness.Reminds me of Franie Randall 2 guys that could have been all time greats.

Ironically the kind of fight you might have expected to suit Kostya, considering his vaunted accuracy and power with the right.
