    people forget their wasn't a lot going on in british boxing when Hatton came through. Lewis and Hamed were retired. Even though he was hitting thirty Calzaghe didnt have any off his fans yet as the Lacy fight was still to come. he was lucky in a way.

    joe cokezaghe maybe. but not hatton. he was pretty good and is somewhat overrated, but not the most overrated at all.

    I've said this before, Hatton was overrated. Hatton got the upper level fights for one reason and one reason only.

    He put asses in seats! he sold tickets. The British fan base was rabid. Something like 13,000 flew to Las Vegas to watch him fight. In this day and age, how much you draw gets you fights before how good you are. And Hatton made promoters money.

    He is not under rated because his white, he was a b level fighter at best. Put in with the best he was made to look comical. Sorry mate, your chap should never have crossed the pond.

    He is no bum, but he was given a gift against Tszyu. Not only was KT old, he hadnt fought for a long time and the ref was completely bias. That was his best win. Decent but not great.

    most people consider him as a HOF lock. he's not underrated here but sometimes people rank him in the level of gatti. which is definitely not true
