You jan_fan only reinforced my statement, thanks. As for the other part of your answer and for your records let me remind you that Rigondeaux is not only the unified champion of the WBA(within an almost record of 10 fights), but Rigo was the BEST AMATEUR OF HIS GENERATION taking into consideration ANY WEIGHT classes.
I've got no problem with his amateur records, he was superb in there. But pros are different from amateurs. Rigo didn't do much yet in pro boxing. Yes, he had an excellent start of career but he's what I call a newbie in the pros. Donaire is not just an ordinary champ. He's one of the established elite fighters in this generation. His level of competition is very far away compared to Rigo as of yet. I know Rigo is a good fighter and he has a very decorated amateur career. I myself would be interested to watch him fight Donaire, but he's too ovarrated to say he's on par with Donaire's competition (not even close). So no, he should not be deserving as of yet tbh. Only hype puts him on his place today. But it's ok for me if they both fight next. I'll have no problem with that. I'm just saying that Rigo didn't take a step closer to get to Donaire. The last time I checked, he got his fight cancelled and that was supposed to be his build-up fight for Donaire. That's not deserving to me.
