http://www.skysports.com/boxing/new...thout-visa-to-fight-in-liverpool-this-weekend When will ****** learn u don't say fighter x is fighting until it is signed sealed and delivered. or in this case stamped. Refunds are in order for the guys who payed to see Rigo fight if he doesn't come to the UK. ****** has done countless interviews saying Rigo will be on the card. I give Matchroom stick much of it is deserved but compared to ****** they are the dogs nads Makes me think ****** needs the Eubanks more then ever Lee VS Saunders fail and now Derry VS Flanagan
The latter a glorified Friday Fight Night special at best in the Cuppa Box but probably really belongs in the Pork Hall.
Careful there IB! You'll have 'The Professor' on your case for using the dreaded W word... Visa regulations in the UK for athletes are ridiculous. I can think of numerous examples of soon to be extortionately well paid premier league footballers being denied work visas for no reason other than their nationality. You'd think you'd want someone paying half of their 90k a week wages in tax to come to your country.
Isn't Rigondeaux based in USA? I can't see him being denied a visa FFS.. I hope it is sorted out though..
FFS we have euro and Afro bums being shipped over here every week to get beaten up without problems but when it comes to Rigo he can't get in the county..you couldn't make it up
Anyone stupid enough to buy a ticket to a Fisheyes show before everyone has weighed in deserves all they get.
From BLH Frank ****** released this email to Dino Duva of Roc Nation Sports outlining the issue: "As a fellow promoter, I know and respect that this is frustrating for you , and I sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may be causing your March 12 event promotion," Duva wrote to ******. "Rigondeaux went to Russia to train for the ****ens fight, and has been attempting to get his UK visa expedited there as quickly as possible. Unfortunately, they have encountered obstacles the past week or so due to a Russian Holiday that prevented the process from getting done. "Rigondeaux and his training team were at the embassy in Moscow again [Monday] trying to work on it, but unfortunately were unsuccessful. Please be assured that we will continue to work on this matter with all our efforts, and are hopeful that we can get this taken care of in time to get to Liverpool for the event. I will contact you on Tuesday to keep you updated on the status."
