sad to see another great boxing talent getting bogged down in contractual bull**** between managers...

Sulaiman wants to have buttsecks with Mares and wont let him fight any elites, landlocking the WBC title. And no, neither Riggy or Donaire will get to pop his cherry

Imo, Donaire has very little interest in fighting Rigondeaux... Unless he wholly changes his style, as Donaire himself said (why fix something if its not broken?). Donaire knows he wont win against Riggy the counter-puncher. And yes, him claiming it to be a non-actiony fight is a lousy excuse not to fight the next best guy

    damn right rigo-donaire is better

thats a fight i would sell my own mother to see but I said it to Donaire in Vegas in June and he only had excuses and said "look who hes fighting now" thats when i realised he didnt want it...

Cant blame him he can make just as much money fighting other fighters that are no threat to him...

I don't have to apologize for nothing , all I said was the truth , good to hear you know him personally so you can tell him to do us all a favor and let Rigondeaux go . Rigo doesn't need him . Peace .

It is great to see Hyde show that greedy, good-for-nothing piece of **** Arum a pair of balls and pull the rug from right under his feet. Hyde has invested more than five years in Rigo and at every turn there is a money grabbing leech trying to muscle in on his star fighter.

Rigo has done very well with Hyde and he is in a position to make a lot of money now, which basically validates his decision to defect. Of course not all Cubans can look back and say that has been the case for them, many have fallen by the wayside once they defected and many have got ripped off by unscrupulous managers. But, Hyde, has been good to Rigo and more importantly he is under contract.

    Up Cork!

Thanks Gasman..... To all with an interest on Guillermo Rigondeaux's career..Lets face it 10/0 wins and current World champion, Someone is doin their job right, Rigo in the ring and Manager and trainers outside......... Glad to see you read my post "Stevenson#1", when speculating in future on a point let the childish name calling at the door. im not getting into a tit for tat mud-slinging contest with you, But my friend finishing a post with the word " peace " dont give you a right to name call anyone, Professional boxing is a murky world and people have to stand up for their boxers and themselves and are quite entitled to use written contracts to stop fighters stepping outside contractual agreements underselling themselves to others. "Stevenson#1" you said tell Gary Hyde let Rigo go????? to where and to who? i may ask. Do he want to go somewhere? .. “A wise man can learn more from a foolish question than a fool can learn from a wise answer.” a quote from a great combatant & Scholar.....

Isn't it strange that Hyde first tries to cancel the fight, and when TR works it out with him, he claims he moved it forward?

I'm glad the fight is back on.
Rigo must straight his **** out.Make it clear who's his boss and follow the rules. This **** can't happen anymore.
I don't know how good or bad Hyde is. But as long as he has a contract with him, follow the rules. And keep in mind that under Hyde he is an interim champ by 7 fights and world champ by 10 fights.
And Hyde must understand that if he wants to keep his moneymaker happy, must move his arse and work around getting the big fights on.
Hope they both learned the lesson.

Glad the fight is back on and we get to see one of the biggest talents in boxing, the last thing Rigo needs is to stay inactive, he needs to go out there put on a show and hope that the likes of Donaire,Mares or Moreno step up to plate and try to prove themselves against him.

So did Rigondeaux have to also sign the rumored extension with Top Rank, or is he a free agent after this fight?
