NFL players miss games with contusions because they have 16 games and they play every week. Most high level boxers fight 1-4 times a year, and Rigo hardly does that. hell, this could possibly be his last fight. He could finish the fight and have more than enough time to heal before he even got back into the gym, let alone fight again.

Yeah good point, get KOd hand over the torch in a few weight classes above but the no mas from someone thinking they can just avoid looking bad getting knocked out will forever look bad on him I’m afraid.

Any photos? Not buying it. Didn't his corner have some confusion as to which hand Rigo claimed to hurt?

Studies have shown that taking pity pat over a whole fight is actually more dangerous than getting KO'd by a big punch, so not sure what your point is. As far as all the other stuff, I could care less. He quit plain and simple, lacked heart, and ****ed the fight up by not fighting back. He didn't work on his own infighting, so he could exchange with Loma on the inside, one of the only ways he was going to be able to land clean shots. That's on him. He figured his Cuban boxing at 37 was still going to be quick enough to handle the tax. I could tell from the Dicken's fight, that he was going to be too slow. Oh well. Looking forward to Loma's next fight, and looking forward to Rigs going on the road to put himself back together. He won't be on American TV anymore.

Brook wasn't being put out from a single punch in that fight. He was taking repeated heavy blows from a monster puncher.

Rigo is pretty dark... I doubt you would be able to see the bruising... at least not for 24-48 hours.

That was disgraceful from Rigo, I wanted him to win so bad just so he could catch a break for once. He **** on all his fans when he quit, absolute joke of a performance, just like Walters I can’t respect that at all.

Why are people acting like the alternative to quitting was just getting KTFO?

    ...by Lomachenko?

Rigondeaux could have easily pulled a Narváez vs. Donaire type negative performance in the second half (very similar overall circumstances, actually - Narváez was undefeated but old and moving up to challenge a priming, larger guy that was highly rated p4p) - do we really think if he put his mind on stinking out the joint and surviving, he couldn't have? That he was going to get walked down and kayoed by, again, Lomachenko?

Yep they claimed it was the right hand when he went to the corner and started cutting the tape off then later rigo said it was the left.

Oh he tried the Ward route! Then when he saw Loma wasn’t playing he quit real fast. Like when he tried to bend Loma’s arm after the bell and Vasyl chin checked him... he knew he was gonna get it back :)

Lomachenko had trouble hitting him even though Rigs was giving up. And when he did land, Rigs wasn't even wobbled or staggered. About the only knock on Loma, is his lack of power.
