I meant generally you touchy old git!!!:D

"Bauble" and "trinket" are up there with "exposed", "shot", "farce" in the ESB cliche list.

haye a prime example when he had the ring belt at cruiser it was the greatest but then at hw he acted like it didn't exist.i think it was gary shaw who said fans may hate all the belts but fighters love having them

If there's only one thing to be established from this thread it's that Rob's rankings > any others (including Ring magazine)

I agree, they are crap but they didn't used to be and they don't have to be in the future....the ring could set the standard but don't bother.

None of that matters as long as you have a good resume.

mandos are tricky good idea but bad in practice.the ring not charging for its title and not having interim, super, gold, diamond belts make it far better then the abc's

We've done this issue to death. To enforce mandatories they'd have to strip champions who didn't face those mandatories.

They've (rightly or wrongly) chosen to try to keep the "man who beat the man" side of boxing titles rather than the enforcing mandatories side of boxing titles. Given that they are "only" a magazine I think its probably a sensible and realistic way for them to do it with the minimum of fuss and aggro.
