The thing is Martin came in just being Martin and Mikey came in being a rusty old slob. Presumably the people in camp with Mikey weren't surprised.

Teofimo may have had some trouble with the weight cut, but I don't see any but 2-3 guys in a good division being able to beat him when Kambosos did. It was a great fight too, I know that doesn't make it a better upset but it makes me glad to see it get awards.

Plus Kambosos-Lopez was two guys coming off career wins fighting for control of the division, Martin-Garcia was for how much both guys will be paid to gatekeep going forward.

I do think Teofimo did fight a dumb fight coming out of the gate like a lunatic like that and he was too eager all night, but Kambosos' unbreakable self-belief all throughout the long lead up to the fight was remarkable and contagious and he walked through fire for that win.

To say no one talks about it or watches it anymore is nonsensical, too. Both Alvarez-Golovkin fights were far better than Fury-Wilder I.
