If this is true it's quite obviously because RING is 'the' Golden Boy wank mag,owned by Oscar,starring Oscar with a smattering of Sugar,B-Hop and any other Golden wonders!! I just imagine B-Hop and Oscar on the phone biaaatching to each other about how horrible that naughty welsh person is, B-Hop "He slapped me all over then try to do me like a ***** and now he wants to do the same to you!!" I for one think that he's convincing himself that the sport is not the same ,so it makes it easier to walk away.
Now there is an obvious advantage of being lineal champion than being ring champion. So all props to Erdei for staying outside politics, nobody will tell him that he is lineal champion because some magazine like to build up its own favorite fighter and then strip him for commenting on the magazine owner.
It's a good attempt. The only areas where it falls down are the tone. There are certain things that flag it up as very 'un-BBC'. Stuff like "the best fighter of the last 30 years"...they never say stuff quite like that, they'd just say one of the best fighters or something rather than have a time frame. Although the use of brackets, like in "HBO (ironically, his recent paymasters)" doesn't quite suit them. Correct a few little bits like that, and you could probably pass this report off as legit. And wind a hell of a lot of people up!
