Way too many boxing fans are obsessed with P4P lists. It's mythical...it doesn't count and it serves pretty much no purpose.

Possibly... many refer to themselves as top fighters P4P, but I don't think it's taken very cut throat. Another chip at the negotiations table perhaps.

True mate. It was funny after Vic got up against Mijares it was one of the first thing's he mentioned. More tongue in cheek for Vic i think but its a way for fighters beat their chests sometimes.

Calderon may have been higher had he won more impressively and fought tougher opposition.

Calderon needs to fight & beat the super impressive Roman Gonzalez to definitely guarantee himself a top 10 placing IMO.

    Nice list.

Ive never personally understood why Rafa and Izzy are rated so highly..They basically get in there because 3 wars that they had with each other. But truth be told their respective resumes outside those fights are only slightly above average. I honestly dont know where else they should go to be honest. I like that ranking better then the official Ring ranking which has Izzy at 4 or 5.

I personally would swap Hatton with Cotto...Even as a big Cotto fan I couldnt justify having him ahead of Ricky but its good to see someone else who thinks Ricky is just outside the 10, not well into it..I probably wouldnt even justify having Cotto so far ahead to Tony if at all.

RE: Gonzalez, Kegs..Hella impressive kid, really like his style and he is an excellent little fighter. But he has a long way to go to be consider the undisputed guy at straw..guys like Nietes, Joyi, Garcia, Kyowa, Sithsmerchai, all have big raps on them aswell and from what Ive seen are good fighters in theri own right.
Going to be some good matchups down there in the next 2 years or so.

Yeah it would be great to see a match between Gonzalez & Garcia. Talk about a war!!!!!
Just too bad there aint huge money in the Strawweights, luckily Gonzalez is a huge puncher so he may get some exposure some day.

Even though Im not sure he is the best fighter down there at the moment..He is the fighter I want to succeed the most because he is great to watch and I also think with his young age he might get up the flyweight comfortably and shake things up.

Something we never got to see Lopez do.

    Yeah exactly.
He is so young, exciting, has huge power & is not the smallest strawweight either so he could easily get to flyweight some day down the road.

Imagine a fight with Ulises Solis at Junior Flyweight also. Talk about some fireworks.
Hope his progression continues & Don King can get him on a televised undercard in the nest yr odd.:good

Hmmm i like your list mate.

I think it should be closer to that. I maybe might have Ricky Top ten and drop every one else one spot.
