I think Oleg has a chance to beat him. Even though Oleg is old. Wlad beat all of the guys on your list except Briggs. He beat Bryd, Brock, McCline, and Peter.

:nut According to your logic. but it was a great fight/brawl. I would love to see a rematch but peter must regain his solid footing which he can do with a devastating ko of social security-bound maskaev. then an unlikely fight w/vitali looms. but do u think his henchmen would let him fight wlad after maskaev? I don't. wlad will go after chagaev next and use thompson as backup.

You might be right about him not fighting Wlad again, too be honest I dont even know who is mandatory would be after he beats Maskaev, Virchis, Gomez, or Vitali? I really have no clue anymore, I just hope it aint Vitali, if thats the case the WBC belt wont be defended again until early next year, after Vitali injures himself a couple times in sparring and the fight ends up getting postponed and then canceled.

If he beats Sulatn and Chag, then he is the champ.

The WBC belt has been so disgraced by its ratings fiasco's, multiple elimiantors, emeritus champs, inactivity, crappy fights and disgraceful champs that it no longer matters.

Those ratings are bull****. They ARE NOT from August 2007.

    More like August 2005.

Oscar de la Hoya was rated at 154lbs. after he beat Mayorga.

It's still 2 REAL beltholders not interim ones................

Unification is what the sport needs not cherry picking rankings based on who they percieve to be the biggest threat to Wlad.

Peter outboxed a boxer in James Toney, showed how tough he is by coming back from 3 knockdowns to win a fight, and has improved his boxing skills greatly since fighting Wlad in 05. Peter is going to destroy Maskaev, and knock him out in under 6 rounds and the knockout will come from one overhand right.:yep

I guess you didn't notice James toney's next fight he almost lost to a can, and most think Toney beat him in the first fight...and he was very lucky to survive against the low KO% Mcline....don't be surprised if 'ole Maskaev gives him hell in that fight.
