I've not seen farr v braddock so I can't really comment on that one.

People are taking this too seriously. H2H is fun and light hearted because we'll never know who's right or not.

To say it's disgusting and insulting to consider haye as a better h2h fighter than farr makes me

Do you have the magazine ?
How does it introduce the article ?

I think it's insulting for a boxing publication to diminish the achievements and abilities of past fighters simply to boost the reps of current fighters.
I understand why they do it though.

I do. It isn't an article. It's like a side point down the side of 3 pages whilst they talk about the current british prospects out there. It's headed as an all time ranking and i'm just assuming it's h2h otherwise it wouldn't make much sense since haye has only had 5 or so fights at hw.

That's assuming there's an agenda tho. It certainly isn't insulting to have a differing opinion on who the more talented boxer is.

Williams goto be top10 much like Farr and Cooper, if Williams was domestic, so were they

Valuev and Ruiz had fought each other not long before they fought Haye. Interesting how you run down Valuev's form but not Baer's who hadn't done anything significant since been blown out by Louis and was losing to anyone pretty much by then, Farr still only went 1-1 against him

Baer's form is generally worse than Ruiz and more removed from his peak

No Bugner did not beat more contenders, he wasn't beating any top contenders so stopping spouting rose tinted crap

Why do you think he declined so quickly? He looked awesome early days.

I think the reason Haye causes so much disagreement is he is pretty dominant against a certain kind of HW, looks like a puncher and generally controls the action whereas against Wlad he was a total non-event.

I hope he does fight Vitali. This will help us understand who's right and who's wrong.

Injury and illness. Bad combo, and although the onus has always been on the helpatitis, it was the injury that really did for him I think. If he was a sprinter or even a footballer he likely would have been done.

He could have played the Paul Scholes role

What injury did he have and why do you think it wasn't the Hep? I had high hopes for him as he looked the business earlier on but he slowed dramatically

It doesn't say anything about head-to-head then. Just a list of all-time best British heavyweights.

I can say boxer X is "the more talented boxer" but he would have to have done enough to demonstrate that to place him above A, B and C.

On the contrary, as distateful as the Wlad performance was, it is by far his greatest achievement as a heavyweight fighter.

The "certain kind of HW" he has 'dominated' so far has been the likes of Audley Harrison and washed-up John Ruiz and Monte Barrett. Unranked HWs at the time by any reasonable judge.

Chisora was a bit better but unlikely to be a long-term contender.

He didn't dominate Valuev. In fact he looked only slightly better than the carcass of Holyfield had looked.

Basically, we're talking about shabby opposition. Some of these, Frank Bruno would have been crucified by the British press for fighting.

I think he can beat Vitali.
If he can't beat Vitali now, then he's not even as good as I think he is.
