Peach of a left hook. One of my favorite combo's. Tap upstairs, blast it downstairs, slide out. Smooth as butter. Gatti had some SKILLS after McGirt smooth out his defense a bit and got him to stop playing rock'em sock 'em every fight. He looked terrific against Bronco, Ward II, Ward III, Hell, Thomas Damgaard.

An Gatti got stopped by manfredy who paul schooled, styles are funny like that. Speaking of ringside i was ring side at that fight at the peterson, paul was not training or taking care of himself trust me. He's been taking care of himself an looks stronger than ever.

That little dude was cracking me up

Walking laps around ringside, slapping backs, jawing like a little kid.

It was a GREAT fight. It all blurs together in an asskicking gloryfest, but I'll never forget the last round.

I don't think Paul schooled Manfredy, but he did beat him clearly.

He's a big dude in person, when he's not in training hes heavy an its not just bloated weight, around the dorin fight he was killing himself to make lightweight an was off the wagon. An yeah the angel fight was a clear win i have to watch it again its been years

Manfredy was well faded by the time Spaddy fought him, Manfredy shouldn't have even been a lightweight fighter. He stopped Gatti YEARS before that.

Manfredy well could have beaten Spadafora, prime for prime.

I'm probably a little biased with paul but you never know, people underrate his skill set though i know that much

People don't underrate him at all. People were all over his nuts because he was sparring with Floyd and giving him some trouble.

The fact that Manfredy a career 130 lb'er can move up and give Paul trouble tells me all I need to know about where Paul was at.

the lightweight manfredy that gave julio diaz problems before that fight. julio went on to be a titlist. manfredy was still solid. good not great win. i wont derail the thread though so we'll have to disagree

Yeah but Manfredy only won because of lame deductions from Julio, he would have beat Manfredy if not for those because Julio won more rounds. Manfredy was maxed out at 130, should never have been at 135.

I had Carl Froch utterly dominating Dirrell, who ran the whole fight.

At home the next day it was an ugly fight with Froch barely landing and Dirrell landing the cleaner blows. I scored it an NC out of boredom.

8-4 is deceiving. Switch two rounds and you've got a draw!

And live, the point of this thread, it was easy to give Chávez a couple of the close rounds.

Whitaker should have won. But I tend to give judges' honesty the benefit of the doubt. Their accuracy in the heat of the moment? Less so.

Regarding Ali and Norton's 15th round, I guess we'll disagree: I'd like to hear Magna's--and others'--view on that round. The TV experts watching live were with Norton, but Mercante and the judges were with Ali.

    :tired

In the history of Teak Tough Ghanaian's only one has ever been stopped & that was by a Mexican legend (S.Sanchez)

No way is a coke-snorting, cross dressing sex offender stopping a TTG, even though he was semi-retired & weight drained.
