unfortunately for us, nelson will now be a permanent feature on any sky boxing show.

having sustained a work related injury, he could've sued the arse of sky. but instead chose to be a loyal servant. also adam smith loves him, in more ways than one.

i can see nelson being rewarded with more roles on other shows in the future.

personally, id like to see someone outspoken on the sky team. someone like eubank would be a great addition IMO. Prince would be a great addition on fight night, to add a third view a bit like hbo do with roy jones and foreman/lennox.

As long as Johnny slips Smith the bbc every once in a while, he'll have a job for life. It's creepy the way Smith often goes to put his hand on Nelson's leg, sometimes making contact, before remembering they're on camera and pulling away.

I prefer listening to Nelson on the radio. He's always on talkSPORT before big UK fights and he comes across really well. Clearly passionate and he know's his stuff. It's a bit more free flowing when he's getting questions fired at him, rather than the other way round. There's just an awkwardness about him on tv.

His books a good read aswell :good

When you start thinking to yourself, once I've heard him once, I've heard him a thousands times, you know he offers nothing to the show. This is the case when ever I watch Skysports and Nelson is on. Its the same old cliches everytime. Its like I cant think of anything new to say so I'll just regurgitate what I say every week.

He might be a nice guy but punditry just aint his thing imo. He aint my cup of tea to listen to anyway.

Don't think anybody would dispute that. The problem is his inability to read an autocue and present a programme in a proper professional manner. Nelson as a pundit isn't too bad where he's more comfortable being asked the questions rather than doing the asking and presenting. Because as a presenter he's bloody awful.

Did anyone else notice Nelson's little quip about his injury being due to his problems with autocue on last nights ringside?

He is clearly aware of the criticisms...............

Good on him for making a joke of it, shows the type of man he is:good
