Seeing old Earl have Katsidis down and hurt tells me Mitchell can beat him.Of course when someone has a different opinion they are called a fanboy:huh
I like Kev thats true but I would hardly consider myself a big fan of his.Out the British fighters,im more into Gavin,Khan and Cleverly.

Well your plan is more or less similar to what id go with , to keep on the move pop the jab constantly and use that Left uppercut and hook, and when forced onto the ropes hold and let the ref intervene, no pulling away or trying to hit back if caught, either hold or roll the rest of the punches if possible. Mitchell will catch Rios for sure as from watching the Acosta fight Rios uses his head as his defence a bit like Murray. For Mitchell to have a chance he must be mentally very sharp!

The Earl fight was a looooooooooooong time ago. Plus the simple fact is that Katsidis still beat Earl. The only guys that have beaten him are world-class operators. Mitchell is not.

The training excuse is JUST an excuse.

Its a legit excuse.****** and Tibbs both know the problems he had in the build up.Writing him off after ONE loss is stupid IMO.Lose a fight in todays world and you're basically called ****.

    Both sides of the coin...

How about Mitchell hurt against Johanneson?
Taking big left hands from Murray?

It's the manner in which he lost it too. And no one has written him off - I've said again and again that he is not ready for the fight, not that he will never be (thought I think stylistically, Rios is going to always beat him).

Kevin needs another year of seasoning to refine his skillset. He showed some improvement against Murray but was flattered by Murray's own flaws. That's a fair assessment.

Also, the training is an excuse. Imagine not training for the biggest fight of your career and thinking you'd be ok... ****** knew nothing about it until after the fight. You really think ****** wouldn't have helped him out? Got him into a training camp away from home?

    Alibis, alibis...
