Yeah I know thought he would have been chasing it back or going for another. Shame for Craig then too although I doubt he'd be bothered about his shot now in the conext of things
Yeh shame for craig but hes upset at Forrests death so im sure the fight was the least on his mind really. They sparred in 2005 and Craig said he learnt alot. I sound like his Press oficer haha
R.I.P. Big man Loved his style and **** he threw shots with utter hurt. Even when he beat Mosley i was gutted but wasnt, loved that guy.
This is not what it seems apparently lads. Forrest wasn't the victim of an attemted car jacking. Basically he was pumping up a tyre on his Jaguar and for some reason had his wallet out. A lad ran past him, snatched the wallet and then carried on running toward a friend who was watching. Forrest (for some reason?) was armed with a handgun decided to give chase with the weapon drew. The assailants turned a corner and when Forrest turned one opened fire on him with a semi automatic weapon. They are still scumbags for shooting him and also for stealing his wallet but the question has to be asked. Why was Forrest armed when he was with his wife and son?Why did he give chase with the weapon drew? He was a pro boxer, if he thought it was dangerous enough that he had to draw a weapon, why give chase over a wallet? There couldn't have been that much in it surely? A sad sad story which in all honesty could have been avoided.Hope they get severely punished anyway.
Terrible news. I was only the other day looking at Boxrec and wondering why he was being inactive at such a stage in his career. He will be terribly missed.
R.I.P Viper, more very sad news for boxing. Guns and knives are terrible things, can take people away in a second. Hate the things. Always liked Forrest, loved his style, the way he got full extension into all of his combos was very impressive. R.I.P Champ
Only just found out this morning! WTF is going on!? **** America and their guns, bunch of ****s. :verysad Vernon was a terrific fighter in his prime, he had a great career and his two wins over a prime Mosley will never be forgotten Gatti, Forrest, Arguello, Nazareth.........Too bloody much :-( RIP
