It's just the way of the world. That charlatan Fabrizio Romano just hawks rumours that super-agents pay him to put out, and because of the reach of those rumours, he now gets sponsors and advertisers alongside the likes of Mourinho and Ronaldo.

The BBC has a gossip page ripping off every paper in the land and even questioning the credibility of stories, whilst getting tens of millions of views a day on it. That's taxpayers' money taking people away from other media who do the leg work.

Sadly Benson has created an audience that's worth having. No worse than an influencer baring their backside in order to advertise some underwear later... good luck to him.

Regarding Romano, yes I know for a fact that he gets paid by agents and clubs to manufacture interest in certain players.

It still is obscene that Benson was able to amass so many followers and then sell his account through doing no journalistic work of his own. On YouTube you get copyright striked and videos removed if you produce content using recorded material produced by someone else.

I also developed a real dislike for Benson for posting so much crap about YouTube boxing.

 

Doesn’t Benson work for Talksport?

Possibly it’s a work account? So Talksport are the ones receiving the fee.

 

Benson was a good account to follow as it was everything in one place until like you say, he started posting crap about Misfits boxing.

 

Thinking about it, is he actually a genuine person? Don’t think I’ve ever seen or heard of the bloke outside of a bit of a cloak and dagger Twitter account.
