    That was a courageous rally by Gomes to end the 5th! Shoeshine on the belly and then a monstrous overhand right!

    I wouldn't rule out a come-from-behind KO6 if he can replicate that! ...but I could just as easily see a last-minute stoppage for Krnjić! Let's go!!! :ibutt

    Ahed comes out fast, seems fine. Gomes throwing flurries. Gets him to the ropes, working the body. Right hook buckles Gomes. Ahmed drops him along the ropes again, it's another push. Gomes with overhand right, Ahmed firing back with massive hooks. Heavy jabs from Ahmed. Gomes mouth agape, backs to the ropes, Ahmed battering him. Monster right hook from Ahmed before the bell.

    I think Krnjić was more tired there than he let on. Gomes might have won that last round with pure grit.

    It wasn't a very clean or pretty boxing match, but it was entertaining nonetheless!

    They managed to keep a better pace in the last couple of rounds than certain 140lbers (looking at you, Lozan)

    I'm usually touchy about that as well, but Gomes was continually giving him the back of his head. So it's not really his fault.

    There were a couple times there where it looked like he was really targeting the back of the head with a nasty punch when Gomes was ducking. Lucky they didn't land.

    I actually had the 5th to Gomes and 6th to Krnjić each by a cunny-hair, for a final score of 58-56 Krnjić...but a draw or wider for Krnjić are both okay.

    I just rewound and watched... (it's two minutes into R3)

    Still kind of borderline, IMO. Yes it could be argued that Gomes only went down from Krnjić leaning his full weight down on him - but Krnjić did also bop him with an uppercut just before that, and it could have been a delayed reaction where he would've sank down even without Krnjić's girth accelerating it. Hard to say.
