Roy jones still very fast. Lacy did make Jones look like he was in his prime. Hope he fights like that next time.

Nice to see Roy perform well again. Hopefully he can win 1 more title and finally call it a day after that.

ROy Jones did not look like he was in his prime.

The only improvement were punching in combinations.

He lay on the ropes the whole fight, Prime Jones would have given this dude angles and not even engaged him ...would have KOd him in 3

Jones doesnt have the power he used to either.

Like I said his legs aarent there, Power is generated from legs.

Hes fighting like a craft veteran...playing rope a dope can get away with it with a LAcy ,Kessler, maybe current version of Tarver.

I think what Lacy tried to do in this fight was to pull a Glen Johnson and swarm and overwhelm RJ in the hopes that all that pressure would eventually get to RJ and his questionable chin would fail him late.

Lacy tried his best to completely overwhelm RJ but it just didn't work. Lacy was outclassed. This was not the same RJ that fought Johnson. That RJ was afraid to throw back and was in no condition to fight mentally. This RJ was having fun and confident. Rolling with Lacy's punches, his head completely in the game and predicting where the shots are coming from. I don't think RJ gets enough credit for being a savvy fighter.

Jones ability is undeniable but that **** was disgraceful, have a least a little respect for your opponent, how is he gonna showboat when he's fighting a completely shot fighter. Even PBF (who many feel is the cockiest fighter out there) at least shows respect for his opponents in the ring. Yeah Jones looked impressive, but who wouldn't against a guy like Lacy. After seeing that I'm glad Calzaghe made such a fool out of Jones in the ring. After seeing that I hope Jones fights Hopkins or Dawson in the near future so he can get what's coming to him.

Bull****, Jones's showboating is what makes me watch his fights, especially against no-hopers like Lacy. The last things Jones needs to lose is his cockiness, he'd be just another fighter then.

I dont honestly thing Jones was ever that great except for flashes of brilliance early in his career.

But he is so so entertaining to watch that I dont care.

I know Reid was faded in 2005, but it's about Lacy. He had so much more snap in his punches, and simply put was a tougher and more confident fighter. His punches now look like he's underwater. He doesn't even have power anymore.

Jeff is nowhere near the same fighter he was back then. I dont see how people could say he is. He was able to land back then, get his punches off and connect with power. These days, I dont know if it was the surgery or something else but he has no pop left at all and cant connect.

And it isnt just the calibur of fighters. Sure back then he was fighting B level guys but even today against Otis Griffen he really struggled and you can imagine Lacy of 2002 would have KOed Otis with ease.

I hope Lacy retires, I think this Roy fight is going to be his last big money fight and I dont want to see him get beat up anymore.
