Calzaghe is not faster..he cant even throw a straight punch let alone lead off with his power hand. That is utter bull****. He is a slapper. A guy that scores in volume. Roy picks you off even at this state he is faster.
It seems Roy's hands are still exceptionally fast, but no longer his feet, and his movement overall not as much.
So some of you think RJJ can still beat Calzaghe ? What does he do against a guy that throws an average of 70-80 punches per round and has the stamina to do it 12 rounds ? I wish RJJ could still beat Calzaghe but can't really see it happening...
Nobody said that. I am just poking fun at the Calzaghe nut huggers. They say obvious dumb ****. I know Roy would have to work harder then he is capable of to beat Calzaghe and Knock him out to win. Just b/c Calzaghes work rate. That is all. Everything else Jones would own his ass.
Jones still has unbelievably fast hands and when he puts punches together, he is still among the fastest in all of boxing. But his footspeed is no where near what it once was, his legs don't seem too strong, his reflexes are a fraction of what they used to be, and his workrate is abysmal.
I would say that Zab, PBF and Mosely are faster than Roy, but at 39, he seems to have gotten his swagger back. You've got to give him props for doing what he did at his age.
Theres no way, hes way too inactive. He wouldnt even put the effort in to KO trinidad who was a sitting duck from the first few rounds on. If he couldnt even put together the energy and combos to go after Trinidad when he had him hurt, he will not have the workrate to fight off Calfaggy's pressure.
He is still fast at the hands, He doesnt have that killer instinct anymore though... .He would have put Tito away quick if he did
