RJJ gotta be one of the best fighters to lace up the gloves in this generation of boxing...He was undefeated (- that bull**** dq loss) from 1988-2004...took titles at 160,168, 175, and heavyweight...16 years undefeated is no joke...Great fighter and should go down as a top 40 ATG

i can only assume your british or a calaslappy tip licker, any knowledgable boxing fan knows that slappy joes slapping tactics only work on fighers that are old and immoble. fighting a prime roy for calazahge is a stylistic mismatch plain and simple, jones would be too fast and too unpredictable. it would be similar to floyd mayweather putting a boxing clinic on marquez, calaslappy was a protected fighter. and feasted off bums or over the hill legends to pad his record.

I give Jones all the credit in the world....but respectfully I really do feel he is vastly overrated.....his record is extremely padded, and outside of beating a "green" hopkins and toney....when he really stepped up in class he started getting knocked out.....

I take nothing away from jones' achievements, but he is vastly overrated....

okay seriously, people need to stop saying jones had a padded record. the only reason why you say he had a padded record is simply becuase know one could give him a good fight, just about everyone he faced in his prime he made him look like b level clubbers. RJJ is not THE ATG, but to say he isn't a p4p great, your a hater plain and simple. how can you say tarver and johnson were a "step-up"?? they were better than a prime toney and a prime b-hop? stop following this stupid anti-RJJ script.

I have now watched the demise of these legends :

    Jones to Green
    Ali to Holmes
    Leonard to Comacho
    Tyson to McBride
    Whitiker to Trinidad
    Morales to Manny

These are always tough as a boxing fan to swallow

Did you read my entire post....I give him teremendous credit for being the first fighter to win a middleweight strap and then later go on to win a heavyweight title....first guy to do that since 1897....but look who he faced is all i'm saying.....his best win imo is a prime toney....hopkins is a different breed, hopkins did his best work later in his carear, and was still green when he fought jones.....outside of that he has a few notable wins....but the people that rank jones top 20 ATG is ridiculous....probably top 50...

Toney is jones' best win.....hopkins was not at his best win he fought jones' and the way his carear has played out has shown that....

Also don't you guys notice that all of the fighters Roy Jones ducked were from Europe? Roy had a legit reason why he didn't like fighting overseas....

    Benn, Calzaghe, Eubank, Dariusz....

Roy and Mcclellan were suppose to have this megafight but obviously Benn beat Mcclellen.

I just think that each of those boxers wanted Roy to face them in their own country. Roy probably wanted them to come to America and face him. So stop saying Roy Jones ducked these boxers.

Everyone knows Roy Jones was better than all of them. Plain and simple.
