Same reason Joe Calzaghe ,Danny Green ,Bernard Hopkins and Dennis Ledebev all fought this version of Jones they want the name on their resume
I guess so, but he's 46 now. I can understand those other fighters wanting his name on their resume, but Roy will be approaching 47 if he fights Huck in the fall. It seems crazy. I doubt it'd be a decent payday, and if he didn't get rid of Roy quick, he'd be ridiculed. It's just sad. :good
I don't understand it... And If he gives Roy a shot just so he can come out and brutalize a near 47 year old legend for his name, then I will lose major respect.
The problem with Roy is he is still a dangerous puncher, Huck would be at risk if he were taking it easy on him. But I would expect Roy to go into his typical shell against Huck who is a level above Roy at this point.
Roy just walks in with his hands up before opening up his still somewhat decent offense. Against a top fighters, he is finished, because you cant simply walk in like that. His legs are gone.
Yeah, that full video was illuminating. He was showboating after doing like 5 seconds of work per minute. atsch Huck grinds him into dust, I am sad to say. :verysad
Do you think so? It appears that Roy's got no legs left at all. He's got the hand speed and he's keeping a high guard, but he just can't move.
Yeah, He looks like a statue compared to prime Roy... This is a huge problem for him because his style relied on a lot of movement and fast feet. He is not going to be able to just stand there and walk guys like Huck down without getting hit, and eventually stopped.
