That was then, and even if i still thought he was trash what does that have anything to do with me thinking him and Pac would be a great fight?
No, it's a contradiction. Bradley and Alexander are actually more popular and sell more tickets than Valero.
Alexander beaten better fighters then Valero. So how is Valero ready to fight Pacquiao but not Alexander?
You said before that Pac is a great fighter. How could he have a great fight with someone who is trash? And didn't you say before that Pac would destroy Valero?
Bradley and Alexander are only popular on their home town. Valero fights in texas. And since Arum wants Pacquiao next fight to still be in cowboys stadiam, he is going to look at Pacquiao vs Valero. No matter who sells more tickets, both Bradley and Alexander deserves to fight Pacquiao more then Valero.
Valero has fought in texas before against Pitalua hes probably more well known there than guys like Bradley and Alexander but the bottom line is that neither one of those three is a big draw.
Clottey ain't a draw either but he fought Pacquiao in cowboys stadiam. If Pacquiao is a huge name and a star then he should have no problems fighting any fighters that is a draw or not point blank.
I can see an argument that Valero is better known than Alexander, but he's not better known than Bradley. Valero has fought on US TV three times, and two of those were on small pay per views. Bradley has fought on US TV at least 8 times, and is able to sell out a 5000 seat arena on his own. Valero's never sold out an arena that large outside of Venezuela. And it's not like Valero is even Mexican, so they can't sell that angle. From all perspectives, other than Bob Arum's wallet (since he promotes Valero but not Bradley), Bradley would be more deserving than Valero (and frankly would be a MUCH better tune-up for a Mayweather or Mosley fight from Pac's perspective). All that said, I doubt he ever defends his 140 pound belt, and if he does, it will probably be against Valero because that's the fight Bob Arum will make.
Roach is talking about for the summer. Pac still has his 140 ring title from defeating hatton and they told ring magazine they want to fight at 140 in the summer. To be honest it really doesnt matter who he fights at 140 because he beats any of them including marquez. I would rather him face bradley first then marquez second but I dont want to see him face valero because that guy is too raw right now and i like him and dont want to see him have a loss when he is trying to make his way up.
you talk as if every great fight in the history of the sport involved two all time greats. Bottom line is Pac's style + Valero's style = War.
http://www.eastsideboxing.com/forum/showthread.php?t=209324&page=3&highlight=Valero In this thread you said Valero wouldn't last a minute. How can you say you expect Valero to be destroyed and then come back and say it would be a great fight? Don't great fights generally occur when two fighters of similar skill engage in a back and forth, action packed fight? I don't know anygreat fights where a guy beat the **** out of an overmatched opponent in a one-sided affair.
