Some trainers are better with certain fighters. I never saw the chemistry with Floyd Sr. and Ricky. I think Emanual Steward would have worked better wirh Ricky, although Emanual is a better trainer. In this fight I think Pacman was just too quick and would have won anyway. No insult to Ricky, Pacman is just too good.

This **** don't have nothin' to do with no "sage" or anything like that. It's just a fighter with supreme speed, confidence, and power vs a slower, over-matched, over-hyped opponent. ****, Roach could have been in Hatton's corner and Phil Jackson in Pacquiao's and it would have netted the same result.

My bad, your right. I'm completely wasted and a lot of people still in the house.

I'm not making an excuse for Hatton. This is about Floyd Sr.

Floyd Sr. set the tone for the camp. The consistant tardyness and in house fighting is his lack of self dicipline. If he, as the master of the gym, can't even show up on time what kind of a trainer does that say about him.

For the record I'm no Hatton Fan. We're talking Floyd Sr. here and this is my take on his training.

Void, Sr. did not help Hatton at all. Talking does not win fights. Roach has to get credit. Pac will knock Void, Jr. out.

Well, I didn't watch the fight, so I can't really comment on what went wrong until I do see it.

Regarding Floyd's input between rounds though, and Ricky's reluctance to listen, could it be that Ricky was buzzed from the two knockdowns? Was he in a fit enough state at the end of the first round to absorb what Floyd was telling him, or was it a case of him being so out of it, he couldn't actually focus on what was being said?

Let's be honest, after years of taking hits both in and out of the ring, Floyd doesn't speak in the most intelligible manner, either.
