    Wait and see.

This is the worst fight imaginable for Hatton, and you'll realise I was not exaggerating and I will own your avatar again if I want to cut a deal with you.

lets be fair he is prone 2 the odd cut, but i do agree with u, but i saw de la hoyas legs buckle a couple of times wen he was under substained pressure and if pacman brings the same tenacity 2 the ring then hatton is gonna respect :good

Hatton will taste Pac power early and often. Unless Mayweather can teach Hatton to fight like Mayweather, :yep, Hatton won't be able to avoid Pac's straight left.

i can't dispute a lot of that, but there's question marks for both fighters. pac's not been hit by a decent puncher above 130 (oscar barely threw a punch). if he can take hattons punches without too much trouble, especially to the body, i see pac probably winning. but if hatton hurts pac early and knows he can hurt him, he'll take 2 punches to land 1 and it could be over fairly quickly.

De La Hoya would have survived longer with Hatton, if not the full distance.

Pacquiao wasn't in close with the naturally bigger man. He beat him up with his speed and evasive abilities. Hatton's mauling and wrestling on the inside would only have wasted time and given a big guy like Hoya a breather.

Roach knows this is a geat fight for manny style wise. Ricky is a brawler which what manny likes. It should be a great fight. :D

    "Worse fight imaginable"??

You really are a complete and utter little Drama Queen sometimes. Are you afraid people will just skim your posts if you don't sprinkle them with a bit of OTT bull****?

Pac's speed, movement, and body rhythm will make him a difficult target for Hatton to hit. When Hatton land's however I see Pac being able to weather the storm.

i'm sure oscar would have also been able to "pull the trigger" on that "45" punch/combo that nacho was pleeding for against pac.

    Cattle prods? :D

Well, I don't really expect big changes, but game plan counts too. But training? A lot of repetition with exaggerated head movement hoping that you at least get small. Would it be better to focus on picking punches off with his gloves? While we could debate Pavlik's effectiveness with this technique, it allows him to reduce his overall motion to keep him in offensive mode since he isn't blessed with the speed of some of his opponents. Would this help Hatton? In some sense they have the same attitude about coming forward and throwing punches.

personally i think a lot of people are underestimating Hatton. He's freakishly strong at lww, and wont leave manny alone for a second.

Hatton wins by late stoppage. Mark my words.

Hatton seems to have it ingrained into his psyche to just drop his hands slightly below his chin. It's strange. I guess he does it to look for bodyshots, but its always left him very open defensively. The only thing he does well to avoid shots is he's quite quick and has good footwork. His hand position and head movement are very poor.

I think any improvements made are going to be offset by the fact he's fighting Pacquiao, who is just so quick, and fighting with the southpaw stance that Hatton has problems with...its a nightmare fight. I honestly think Pacquiao combines all the attributes Hatton has had trouble with in the past, except this time its in ultra aggressive form rather than playing the matador to the bull its two bulls colliding.

It's going to be a mess, I'm sure.
