Just to get this straight, your against catchweights and draining opponents?

It should be at 140, JMM will fight him at any weight

It is not unusual for boxers to add on 10-15 Lbs between the weigh in and the fight.

This needs to be a 142 lb. catchweight for Manny's 147 lb. belt. Manny won't need to eat a shitload and should be able to comfortably make weight while Marquez can hover around his best weight like Pac did, and should prove that Manny is willing to take it both ways.

true. both clottey [160] and cotto [158] added 13 lbs. while margo [165] added 15 lbs. from the weigh-in when they fought pac [148-149].

let's be honest about all this. roach and manny call the shots.

If its at 147..Marquez can weigh in at 135 132 or whatever weight he's comfortable at.

Pac came in at 144 in a 151 fight. What's to stop Marquez at coming in under 140?

    f'n idiots..all of you!!

From 142 LBs down, Juan Manuel would beat Pacquiao's ass out...147!?!? Come the ****ing on! That's just having an unfair advantage! Anyway first let's see how the Mexican does against Katsidis, how shot he is or not. I believe JMM will KO Katsidis but let's see the skills and speed he will continue to have...But remember that against Floyd he didn't hve because he put on more weight and as we've seen Pacquiao has even increased his speed now...

Those who say JMM is not a great fighter are just idiotic.

You are the idiot. Pacquiao weighed way less against Margarito because even with Tony being more powerful in weight and bigger, Pacquiao did have a great advantage on speed and was overall better in almost everyhthing, enough to give up that...

Whilst with JMM nd Pacquiao it is a closer fight; giving that advantage to pacquiao could be decisive in such a close fight. Saturday's wasn't a close fight.

Funny thing about the Marquez fights. Many were questioning if Manny was on the slow decline:D Now hes destroying and dropping these two and three classes bigger/larger fighters.:patsch

Id much rather see Pacman fight Mosley... who at least has the power and speed to hurt Manny. Marquez has nothing for Pacman at this stage.

Same here....they weight drain others and force Marquez to come in over-weight of which he is not comfortable.
I guess they'll take any edge they can!!!

If they really plan to fight Marquez above 140 that'll be very dissappointing..That's almost as bad as what Mayweather did..The fight itself wouldn't be interesting..I rather him fight a top welter or winner of bradley-alexander even though it'll make a little less money.

At 147 i foresee pacquiao stopping marquez easy payday for paquiao and roach. I also doubt there will be that much hype for that fight sees none of the boxing experts will give marquez a remote chance of winning that fight. I'd rather see him against mosley who at least has a punchers chance a will be an impressive name on pacquiao's resume.
