I have no problem with Manny getting the greater percentage of the purse and really no else should. With the exception of Floyd ... 50\50. How is Manny the biggest draw?? Based on what evidence are you stating that?? There are alot of people who are FAMILIAR with boxing that knows Manny. But to the large majority of people who would pay to see a fight, {He's still an unknown} in spite of his most recent wins. An argument can be made that if he doesn't have a well known opponent, his fights won't do the numbers that HBO would be interested in. Agreed!! Floyd shot himself in the foot by fighting JMM at a catch weight.
Pac should just fight JMM (even if he loses to PBF) at 135 or 140. There's no doubt that would be an exciting match. PBF can fight Cotto or Mosley in Nov/Dec for welterweight supremacy. I don't see anything wrong with what Roach is doing. He's just looking out for his fighter's health.
It's fair that you're asking me that. I don't think Pacquiao is still an unknown. I'm sure by now alot of boxing fans and people who just watch boxing knows who he is. Like I said it's only my opinion. Boxing fans that watched him (Pac) fight against another boxer has a chance of becoming a Pacquiao. Even if a person their cheering for was not Pacquiao. At the end of the match after Pacquiao wins the match I'd like to believe that some fans will/may acknowledge Pacquiao's skill and might/will become a Pacquiao fan and would want to see him fight again. It's the same with other boxers. Mayweather's fan base is relatively smaller to Pacquiao's fan base. I'm sure that Dela Hoya has the biggest fan base before he retired. Hatton; he has alot of people behind him but I think that the his fans are just loud (in a good way) and supportive of their boxer unlike the Pacquiao and Mayweather fan. There is no way from us to know how big of a draw Pacquiao is or if he really is the biggest draw and not Mayweather. If we really want to know we could make a survey in ESB but that will not be accurate because there are alot of Pacquiao fans and Mayweather fans here. It's hard for me to assume that Mayweather is a bigger draw than Pacquiao because alot of people hate him regardless of talent in boxing. I have no evidence that Pacquiao is the biggest draw today. I'm basing my opinion on the belief that a boxer will gain more fans as long as he keeps winning. On Mayweather's case, he is hated because of his attitude in and outside the ring. It's tainting his image.
No. It's water. Look at Pac after he added 10lbs back on. This content is protected His abs aren't nearly showing as much.
But that hate equals attendance and PPV buys, because his fans want to see him win on one hand and his haters want to see him lose. Both are willing to pay for their particular outcomes. Can you imagine a pure PBF hater not being able to watch him destroyed live when it happened!!!!:hey
