What evidence is there to suggest that muscular legs somehow improve your ability to absorb a punch? I think if any muscles can be used to improve punch resistance it's neck muscles. They will support your head better when you're hit with a punch you don't see coming. Look at Mosley and Hopkins' necks, it's clearly an area they work on and are both men who absorb punches well.

Good call I would have thought a thicker neck would give better support, I suppose stonger legs give better stability and help with overall strength.
He could do with Iron Mikes neck :good

They have been working on his neck aswell, if look at his lastest pics, his neck looks quite big for his size

I'm sure they been working on his defensive footwork too and coupled with blistering punch speed, I still think he can go far.
I still feel the postion Khan was in when Prescott clubbed him ie Flatfooted, upright, chin up no attempt to slip or roll away made that KO so quick.
If Khan had been slightly elusive and let Prescott show him what he had the result would have been so different.
He'd got so used to going straight in for the quick overwhelming TKO it was a habit!

I feel the same, Khan should of been Roach from the start and some of these poor flaws in Khan's game would of not been made. Prescott fight was really poor match making from Frank.

Less hype would have been good too. A humble initiation into the pro ranks, followed by a steady increase in quality of opposition would have stood him in good stead. I can't help but feel the boy has been spoiled and ruined.

I really hop that isn't true. One foght from a world title? I should be next in line after him then, after all I've never fought anybody either.

Too right the hype and media got to his head, in a way Khan needed that K.O from Prescott to wake up. But I feel Roach maybe can still make something of the kid lets see.

  14. Hopefully they have reshaped Khan's body into a perfect genetic copy of a young Roberto Duran.

Look at Roy Jones neck, massive but still nae chin.

Khan came into that fight against prescott with an extremely big neck which he had clearly been working on, but he still got sparked.
