I don't usually agree with Rob on anything but in this instance he is 100% correct. How can anyone justify Haye looking for any more than 50-50? Every fighter risks their health when they step in the ring no matter how much money they are making, Haye's health is no more important than a jouneyman who only makes a few thousand per fight so I don't see what Bunce is trying to get at with that comment.

    my response to Buncey is.

To point out that from the very beginning I have been a massive Haye fan and have defended him numerous times on this forum over the past year.

Haye is a multi millionaire now. So the money guilt trip is irrelevant in this situation. Were not talking about Carl Dilks struggling to pay the rent here are we. If Haye is worried about saving cash for his family he should cut back on the Bentleys and designer suits and invest in some property.

I have personally taken lower paid jobs with a view to the future, realising that its a better opportunity in the long run. People do that every day. If David Haye and his team were confident of him beating the brothers they would sign the contract knowing if David knocks out Wladamir he can get 75% plus for a Vitali fight in Wembley stadium next June.

I was at the Fragomini, Bonin, Macceranelli and Barrett fights. I had a flight and ticket for June 20th 2009 which I only got back half of my money back for. I paid for the Valuev and Ruiz ppv's so I have every right as a paying consumer to be vocal about what he does next and Audley Harrison is not what we have come to expect from Haye. The reason I supported Haye and saw him as my favourite fighter is because he wasn't just another Frank Warren cronie wearing a football shirt to get fans in. He was knocking guys out and taking the biggest challenges possible. He could of signed the big bucks deal with Warren but he never took it because he always told us he wanted more out of boxing than the pay cheque.

If Haye was just another fighter, hadnt sold himself to us I wouldn't have a problem. David Haye called out the Klitsckos. David Haye made the t shirts. David Haye called it a slave contract. David Haye pulled out of two fights. David Haye is the one who said he wasn't in it for the money and needs to beat the Klitsckos for "his legacy". The Klitscko brothers have stepped up 3 times and made more than generous offers to the Hayes team. Wladamir was even prepared to come to London when they first started talking in 2008. Haye is in the wrong because he shouldn't have made all those false promises and called out the Klitsckos for 2 years if all he was interested in was the cash and not the beating them.

I have a lot of faith left in Haye the man. I have to believe that he wants the fight and its a combination of Booth/Golden Boy/Sauerland stopping it. The real problem is that Hayes reputation outside this country is a complete joke. Buncey you can go on all day about **** internet writers, and I agree, but they know one thing all of us can see which is Wladamir Klitsko really wants the fight, we cannot say the about Haye.

I think Bunce looked the fool trying to bully and belittle a guy who supports his programmes with emails/texts as much as anyone. The way he talked on the show about 'genuine punters not people who write on the internet' (a point missed by some cheerleaders on here) as if no one here ever goes to a fight did him a disservice.

Bunce is great for the sport in so many ways but he showed a lack of class there.

do you think any of the general public he talk so fondly off wrote letters to Sky/ITV/BBC/Bravo/Channel 5 asking to get him a show like I did? Do the general public download his William Hill Podcast and come up with 3 alter egos to send in emails and support his show. Did any of the general public go to two of his live shows. I don't think so.

Pretty much argee up until this.

He made a lot of noise entering the HW division, and my God did it work. Everyone knows who he is and he now even holds a title (jumped the que for me.)

The problem is, he has upset the Klits in such a way that they will stop at nothing until a fight is made with him IMO. No question, Wlad and Vitali want the fight!

Haye, however, knows he will be in there with the two best HWs in the world, and there is a good chance he will lose (i will support him 100% if the fight is made). The problem for me is, Haye keeps talking up the WBA belt, saying 'this is the belt that Ali held.' Statements like this tell me that maybe he isnt interesting the unifying the division, he is happy with what he has. He knows every1 in the UK will buy his PPV, whether it be against Ruiz, Harrison or the Klits. Why take the risk against a Klit if he make make £££ without them.

I ****ing pray im wrong tho! i really do!

Thanks for the support guys. I know i got over the top allot more than I need to. I am just passionate about boxing. Haye has been the first fighter I followed from the beginning.

I just wanna point out that although I have crazy opinions I am never one sided and my mind can be changed if a good poster on here puts forward a good argument.

    I agree.

The lack of noise made about any upcoming opponent or negotiations with the klits would support this.
If were to believe he is retiring by the end of next year and with his lack of ring action i hate to say it but i reckon hell fight a mickeymouse warm up then end his career on a make or break fight with Wlad.

:good Dont get all soppy on us!

Its clear that you are very passionate about the sport, and about David Haye. It is also clear that Bouncey is equally as passionate about Haye and about boxing in general. When two people have differing views about a subject they are both passionate about, things often get out of hand.

On reflection, i feel he may have overstepped the line a little and wasnt professional. Bouncey always speak his mind, thats why we love him. But forme, there wasnt much need for it.

But hey, thats my view. I suspect an apology may come

I'm on Rob's side. I always defended Haye before, and I still begrudgingly understand why they're taking the Harrison fight first. But that doesn't mean he's not open to criticism.

Thats a good post. People get drawn to what Haye said about the Klits after he moved up from Cruiser when he was playing the gobshite to get a short cut to a title shot rather than have to take on 3 or 4 Heavweight contenders first.

He has his title now and the whole game has changed from his point of view. He can earn off his belt and wait a while for the Klits.

No, its not what people hoped he'd end up doing but its perfectly understandable if not great for his rep. or boxing.

i know the general forum is a total joke but go on there and see the threads about Haye. He is a total laughing stock. Probably the most ridiculed fighter in world boxing theres people that think Kevin Mcbride would knock him out

I know what you are saying, and that true. But (IMHO) Haye has never fancied the "hard road" as a HW, the calling out of the Klits, the severed heads T-Shirts etc were all designed to get him a title shot ASAP so he didn't have to go through 4 or 5 other HWs before he got his chance.

Now he's got the title he's looking at things totally differently. He won't care what the General Forum thing while he's selling out the MEN on Sky PPV.

I know it sounds cynical, I know you feel you have something personal invested in Haye and that really pisses you off about the whole saga, but thats the situation as it stands.....he was probably never what he claimed to be but people are getting bent out of shape because they feel fooled or tricked rather than just looking at the situation objectively which is just "boxer bullshitted to get title shot".
