A fight Robbie Davies didn’t even need imo. He appeared to have a plan in place to challenge for a world title, but i’m glad he’s took this fight, it’s potentially excellent. Not sure how I see it going. Ritson is still growing into the weight. Davies is a very skilful fighter but he had an awful time with both Joe Hughes and Syrowatka who are both pressure fighters. He can box so well but the urge to get involved in a tear up still seems to be there. I think Lewis Ritson can drag Davies’s ego into a scrap here and hurt him.
If Davies can take Ritsons power he'll probably win on points but he's been knocked out bad before, I think Ritson will knock him out.
I will be going to this. In my back garden. Up the sandman. I wonder why he's called the sandman? Anyone know? He's not from South Shields so it can't be that. Any news or rumours for the undercard?
Good fight, I think Ritson has got the power to hurt him but is too one dimensional. I’m Going to sit on the fence a bit; Ritson by KO first 5 rounds or RDJ on points, swaying slightly towards RDJ. Tempted to go to the fight as well. Not too far for me to travel and will probably have a decent undercard too I’d hope!
