If Helenius fights Dimitrenko e.g. in Spring 2012 then the winner could be a challenger in late 2012. Obviously either man'd be a huge underdog against either Klit brother but heck, we've had worse title challengers in the last 10 years I guess.

Well, Chisora did have a fight lined up with Wlad previously, so it could be seen as giving Chisora his shot. I don't see a problem with that. And with Fury, it's another big guy. I'm guessing there would be UK interest in both, so I don't see a problem. I mean, who else is he going to fight? Arreola possibly...other than that, I don't know.

Steve Lillis on the radio last night said Haye knocked out Helenius in sparring for the Klitschko fight.

Well, I guess that explains why Helenius hasn't spoken up after Saturday saying he wants to fight Wladimir.

Seriously though...I wonder if that's true...could it even be confirmed? Surprising to me if it's true.

Helenius said in an interview with Bild.de that he had 30 rounds of sparring with David and a) He said while Haye packs good power, his punches were not superhumanly hard b) he was surprised with how quick and hard to hit Haye was.

No mention of a knockdown (obviously).

Helenius, told the Finnish press that he had been surprised at how well sparring with Haye goes, and especially when he came to sparring straight from strength Training regimen. He sayed also - they were alternately on the back of the neck

18 mos ago I made a post about Robbe being the heir apparent of the Klitschko's whence they retired.

That said, he is moving along well since then. He's beaten Peter and Levin since, and is moving straight forward in his career.

Buuuuuuuuuuuttttttttttttt........ He is absolutely no threat to either brother, today tomorrow or ever.

I could however see him becoming the undisputed once they are gone, but these brothers are just soooooooo very much better than the rest of the competition that even if Robbe is to drop 15 lbs of fat while adding 15 lbs of lean hard muscle, and totally tightening his defense, he would still lose badly to a 40 y/o Wladimir.

Helenius isn't ready for Wlad yet and if they fought I'm sure Wlad would ko him without a lot of trouble. Helenius needs to keep doing what he's doing-fighting solid veterans to get better and experience while Wlad gets older. In 18 months to 2 years this could become an interesting fight but for now Helenius isn't ready.

Helenius is much more slippery "if have to" than people thing. Sooner or later he will force to wlad to fight and then KO...

Vitali would be much more difficult opponent

Helenius isn't Haye who fights once every 14 months. He has Lyakhovich in August he will probably fight Dimitrenko around December which would mean Klychko maybe Mar/Apr 2012 seems like a more likely timeline. Unless Dimitrenko has some more fainting spells of course like the woman he is.
