There were so many all around skilled pros back then that an average guy like Broner would get lost between all that talent i dont see him beating a guy like Ray Lampkin for example, and for the other dude that mentioned footwork, Broner's footwork is nowhwere near as good neither his skills are as polished as Vilomar Fernandez a Duran victim that went on to beat the great Alexis Arguello,hell even Viruet who was a bit of a clown too would school thys broner hypejob.

these days all a guy as to do is beat some overmatched opponents and act like a clown as long as he has a big hype machine behind him that carries him to the top without him having to prove himself first, something that yesterday's fighters didnt have the benefit of, they came up the hard way, taking fights on short notice, fighting every other month and fighting though competition only then if they were good enough they would get the rewards, now you get the rewards before you get to prove yourself.
