So glad to wake up to a new day and yet another new dirtbag in my life provoking the ----t out of me.
You people know what? Greb has no power, Duran does. I score rounds based on defence, but also who landed the harder punches. Duran would win, although Greb wins the late rounds. Because Duran lands the harder punches and shows defense.
Greb - Hands down. He's one of the best all time middleweights. Duran was one of the top contenders for all time best LIGHTWEIGHT. Roberto's status at 160 lbs was okay but not great. Barring a Hearns type blitz against him, though,he could be cute enough to take 'The Human Windmill' the distance. Greb by at least four points on the cards.
What would Duran bring to the table that Greb hasnt already seen? Power? Im sure 200 pounders that Greb fought hit harder. Defense? Im sure Mike Gibbons and others brought as much or more defense to the table. Ruthlessness? Im sure guys like George Chip, Bob Moha, and Chuck Wiggins were as scary (and bigger) than anything Duran could do. Speed? I dont think anyone above 160 outspeeds Greb, certainly not an overweight former lightweight. Experience? I would guess, without looking, that the majority of men Greb fought had more fights than Duran when Duran retired much less when he was fighting at MW. Durability? Wouldnt matter. Greb didnt bank on knocking guys out. You name it and whatever Duran could do Greb had been there and beaten it.
Call it what you want, but Greb was not a very tall middleweight so size does not matter much here. They're near-even tall.
