Agree 100% Relentless is the key. Sweet Pea is a great fighter but he's going to be attacked from the opening bell and his fight plan will devolve from looking to counter to trying to avoid Durans swarming attack . Plus Pernell simply doesn't possess the firepower to keep Duran off him. Rounds 11-15 will be seriously tough for Whitaker

I used to think Duran but now I say Pea wins a decision in a great fight.
The think is watch Whitaker closely and he actually hurts saps alot of boxers with sneaky bodyshots downstairs and I think this is overlooked.
I actually would favour a Montreal Duran at 147lb against a Whitaker. I think at welterweight Pea didn't move as good and was just a twitch slower then at lightweight where he was getting hit more.

Idk if anyone beats sweet pea at 135. If Chavez couldn’t land **** and got completely schooled idk if Duran would do much better.

Pea by ud he's a stylistic nightmare for Duran who he would frustrate the hell out of and possibly make him quit.

Jose Luis Rameriz beat him at 135, and Chavez lost at a higher weight
