Rocky Marciano vs James "Bonecrusher" Smith

Yes...but we have weight classes in powerlifting.
The elite lifters in the heavier classes lift more than those in the lighter ones.

 

How could Marciano not win this one???

 

I was always a fan of the Bonecrusher...he showed that he had the sense and the ability to avoid punishment by holding with those bigass arms of his, like he did Tyson, and I never held that against him, just wish he had been more aggresive and threw more punches than he did, both in that Tyson fight and in his career in general. Marciano would have had to settle on a decision, IMO, as Smith would have done with him as he did with Tyson, except it would have been far more painful.

 

Bones Smith's problem was, he was a mechanical strongman who was SUPPOSE to attack and throw / land HARD punches......... BUT! He often tried to fight as if he were a quick boxer with finess and skill.......... Bones Smith was too stiff and slow to lay back and look to pile up points on a world class fighter....... Against a low-budget tomato can, Smith had success there with either a decision or KO...... Peace........

Bone crusher was a very dangerous bloke a genuine threat to any HW in history when he was in the mood.I think rocky would come in close and wack away at Smith .bonecrusher could hurt rock as he could anyHW but I think rocky wouldn't give him the space or time to uncork his big shots and would win on points with Smith holding him of in the late rnds as he tries and the rock doesn't.
