Frazier would be bigger, quicker, stronger just as tough, just as high workrate and more elusive. Marciano has a slight power edge and a functional right hand. Both would come on later when their opponents had worn themselves out, if he was to put money on it, I'd say it's a shoot out that picks up in intensity as the fight progressed where Frazier's defence, and speed, win rounds clearer than Marciano's brute force. I think it'd be a majority decision that could go either way but Frazier taking it based on not getting hit as much, thus landing more. Frazier MD15. 49-1.
Frazier flat out stops him late. Much better footwork Faster of hand and foot Better defense Better body puncher dont forget that overlooked rt uppercut to the body in close. Better head movement Hits just as hard. I really dont care that Marciano has a harder rt hand. Most guys that fought Frazier did and it did them no good Joe's hook negates it with his speed and how quick he reloads it. I wish I new how to upload the clip from Frazier Quarry II where Joe jabs hooks off it and literally has Quarry out on his feet. He delivered this so fast you have to see the other angle in order to see the jab. After he let's Jerry regain his senses he slams home a hook to the body with a rt uppercut mixed in somewhere. Beautiful fast hard and vicious. Marciano cant survive Joe for 15 the ref or Dr stops it at some point.
Frazier was certainly much better at reloading and firing big shots he was almost unique in that department in my time.I would not bet on this fight, Frazier is quicker, bigger and as tough as old boots.
Marciano by late TKO. In maybe a best fight ever category for HWs. Lot of knock downs but as good as Frazier’s stamina was I think Marcianos was better and to me that’s the edge. Otherwise pretty equal in power and chin category. Completely different tactics as far as closing the gap goes. Maybe my number one dream fight
I wouldn't say Frazier isn't stronger nor does he have a chin just as good as Marciano's. Moore quoted that Marciano was stronger than Frazier when he was training Frazier
Marciano never mandandled much larger opponents in the ring like Frazier did. Moore was most likely complimenting Marciano to give a better account of himself. And Frazier's chin was probably much better than Marciano's on second thought. He wouldn't have been dropped by 2 old men at the peak of his career.
Marciano was off balance, he wasn't even hurt. Both of those "old men" were great punchers and either at or near their prime Frazier was dropped by Bonavena whom wasn't nearly as good as either. And dropped 6 times by Foreman in 2 rounds. Marciano manhandled everyone, Frazier only manhandled an Ali who was conserving energy and not fighting back. Marciano had inhuman strength, Frazier struggled to pushpress 155lbs, and Moore still quoted Marciano was stronger. Moore has NEVER been one to shy away from bashing Marciano on what he thought was overrated about him. He didn't falsely compliment Marciano to boost himself. Stop speaking bull****.
George Foreman under a 1950s ruleset 15 rounder. (Where all of my hypotheticals take place, imo the peak of boxing) George Foreman, Muhammad Ali, Larry Holmes, Sonny Liston and perhaps Vitali Klitschko under a modern style 12 rounder Nobody under Bareknuckle rules
