The Rocky that fought Louis vs. The Baer that fought Primo.

    Who do you like here?

I’ll go with Marciano but it would be a terrific fight

I don't think we can go with anything other than Marciano UD. Fun fight.

Tbh I don't know. Much as people here would like to deny it, Baer has a HUGE stylistic advantage, and was one of, if not the hardest puncher of all time, and Marciano wasn't exactly Willie Pep, when it came to defense. I guess it depends on which Baer shows up.

Rocky grinds him down, but has to take some teeth numbing shots in getting there. Marciano finally kos Max in 14.

I would say Rocky would stop him in the double digit rounds...

This fight would turn out to be a matter of wills, Max Baer was a very hard hitter with a mean streak. Rocky Marciano also could hit, his right hand Suzi Q was his signature punch. Rocky only knew one gear and that was forward, the same for Max. I see Rocky taking this one on points. As we have seen many times before, Rocky the more relentless fighter here, had unending stamina down the stretch in this bruising affair.

Rocky by KO. Baer like space to set his feet and throw. Rocky is poison for Baer.

Baer undoubtedly has a stylistic advantage, which I reluctantly pick against, given what I know about both men.

If Baer wanted it enough, he would probably win!
