You're not going to address the question the OP asked just make up a lot of bollocks which is not only very rude to him but a waste of time for the rest of us so bye. Make your own drivel up on your own thread and we can all ignore it.

Would it penetrate as far if it was entering a piece of teak? Logic isn't your strong suit is it ?

I did address the question actually, read my first post.

I'm just assuming you're having an off day today because usually you're much better spoken than this.

This is a forum for boxing to be discussed. I have already said I do not think Marciano is good enough to give away 24 pounds in weight to Holyfield. I have added the caveat that I pick Marciano at CW over Holyfield.

I don't understand why the thought of adding muscle to Marciano illicits such a passionate response from you. If in asked about Hagler vs Spinks I would assume Hagler is allowed the extra 15 pounds then as well.

You have proven yourself one of the greatest CW fighters in history still had to add muscle to compete against the heavier men. Marciano would not be fighting at HW today weighing what he weighed.

Toney was a defensive master Marciano was not. About all they have in common is they were both boxers.

To equate Marciano with Tua is absolutely ridiculous he was about as big as one of Tua's thighs!

You don't think the difference is height between Marciano and Holyfield meant that Holyfield could better carry the extra weight?

QUOTE="choklab, post: 18407422, member: 50845"]Rocky was more prone to cuts with 6oz gloves than he was with the 8oz gloves. And those 8oz gloves he fought Moore and Cokell with were the largest competition gloves he ever fought with and yet they were still padded the old fashioned way with the banned horsehair rather than shock absobant layers of rubber and foam.

With 10oz gloves of today Rocky could be as much as 50% more resistant to cuts. And you know it.[/QUOTE]
You didn't answer my question he was fighting with the same gloves as the other heavyweights yet he sustained way more cuts than them ,how do you explain that? I'll tell you since you don't want to admit it, he was a bleeder ,plain and simple ,and today ,matched against those super havyweights he would be getting hit harder and therefore would be a bleeder today. You know it, I know it, and so does everyone else who doesn't have his head firmly stuck up Rocky's a*se!

I always swing between thought processes regarding Marciano fights.

Out of intrigue I would love to see him matched against a real elite SHW to see how he approached camp and indeed the fight.

Then other times I think it's unfair matching him against people outside of his own weight range.

If people are gonna prevent him adding any weight I don't see him having much success against the elite SHW fighters. We know he beat Shkor anyone better than him requires a leap of faith.

I did not make it up. Calculate the height to weight to age ratio of all dominating champions and you will find they were all historically within 24% bodyfat for their height. That all went through the roof after the PED explosion.

How did you measure their body fat?
