Espn showed Rodriguez v Theophane as their main feature on friday fight nights. Atlas and Tessitore had Rodriguez a clear winner, whereas i thought it was close, and would not have argued a 94-96 either way, but was please to see Theophane get the nod. How did you guys see it, if you saw it at all?
I think a close win for rodriguez would have maybe been the fairest result, but did you see him gas to **** in the tenth?
Decent score. Theophane was connecting with a lot more telling shots than atlas was giving him credit for. Rodriguez looks a good boxer, but i think he took it for granted that he thought theophane was an "opponent"
96-94 Rodriguez. I'm not sure what six rounds the judges scored for Theophane. I thought Rodriguez won rounds 2 - 6 fairly widely.
Had the same score, however I thought rounds 2 and 4 were pretty close if I remember. I definitely gave one of those 2 rounds to Theophane. It was closer than people were making out anyway. Rodriguez was unlucky to get the call but it wasn't a massive travesty that Ashley was awarded the decision.
