Sexton was naughty,the ref a joke,and Rogan ****in stupid.Spitting the gumshield is an old old trick,Rogan should have jumped on him and finished the fight.Having said all that,Rogans eye was bad,and if i were a ref i wouldn't want someone blinded in one of my fights.
Right for the fight to be stopped but the cheating of Sexton will do him no good next time out and he is a dead man walking. Referee was bang out of order & not surprised he was 5/1( Sexton) to win.. rematch definitely due...but it will not happen...mores the pity

Rogan was badly hurt in the 7th,fair play to him for grinding it out.Anyone would think Rogan wasn't hit.
rogan was hurt but i didnt get the feeling that sexton was gonna take him out. but io wouldnt of been surprised if parris stopped the fight lol. sexton was all over the place. for almost 1:30 mins of the final round. stoppage was fair that was a horrible eye swell, but at least let him finish the round.
I dont think anyone would try and say that. There was nothing is rounds 1 -5 but I gave Sexton most of them cos he nicked them with cleaner jabs - but they were arm punches and werent hurtful. Rogan won the 6th clearly and Sexton the 7th clearly - the last minute of the 7th was the only time when Rogan looked hurt - but nothing in comparison to the distress that Sexton was in in the 8th (or the 6th for that matter). I gave Rogan 1, 3 and 6 and Sexton 2,4,5 and 7. I would have given the 8th a 10-8 to Rogan if it was allowed finish.
Thats about how i seen it.Ref was poor,but Rogans eye was bad.Would be interesting to know how bad Rogans eye is today,i've been around the fight game for 30 odd years and swellings like that are never good.
it looked like he had a black eye getting into the ring - did you notice that. I reckon thats why it seemed to balloon up within a matter of seconds.
I had Sexton up by a couple of rounds going into the 8th. Besides the first round and the 8th round Rogan disapointed me, It was a poor performance. That said, It was coming to "his part of the fight" and I have no doubt Rogan would have won it in the late rounds. The ref had a shocking night but I don't blame him for stopping the fight due to Rogans eye. Rogan looked tired in this fight and he should take some time off and come back refreshed and looking more like his self.
Yes,i did notice he was marked around one eye.Obviously took a knock in sparring and yes maybe it could of been the reason why it came up so quick.It was nasty though,when the cameras showed it from the side it looked ten times worse and obviously the doctor proved he couldn't see out of it.Wrong result on the night,but i'm sure Rogan still has a lot to give.
