The bunches O punches are nothing. Calzaghe comes in hands down and head open....I think Roys style is all wrong for Calzaghe though.....Roys hand speed will be the difference and we will see this within the first 5 rounds of the fight. I dont expect Calzaghe to fight Roy the same way he fought B Hop. He will need to be more defensive minded or he will get KO'ed

Maybe U should watch that fight again. anyone who knows boxing knows Roy Jones carried Tito in that fight. Not to mention RJJ jad a Torn Left bicept (which is why he dominated with right hands instead of lead left hooks)....

and actually i would say "Cant see Roy losing to Calzaghe after watching Calzaghe - B Hop"....B Hop hit Calzaghe with flush right hands all night...Just not enough of them....straight right hands is Roys specialty

It was quite sad watching the first three rounds. But he did pick it up after that.

Thing you have to say about Calzaghe is obviously his slaps have a little more venom in them than people want to admit. Very few fighters are willing to walk through him or walk him down, those that tried got cut up and brutalized ala Lacy or didn’t last very long, ala Mitchell.
If they weren’t having an impact on Hopkins, why wasn’t he doing what he did against Tarver and Winky? I don’t think Calzaghe is a stun puncher anymore but anyone who has had a leather glove in their face before can tell you how annoying those glancing sting shots can be on soft tissue, I get the feeling Calzaghe’s punches sting and irritate, more than stun his opponents these days.

Man are you right, I recall one rd about midway vs lacy, you hear two good popping sounds, and the announcer said " Did you hear THAT?"
They aren't mainly slaps, he's worried about reinjuring his hand,,all the haters called him a ducker when he injured his hand in that tuneup fight b4 Lacy, then when he came to fight and won all 12, the haters spun out their bull**** calling Lacy overhyped instead of being adult enough to give Joe his props....they all suck to be blunt

Joe has worked his way into deserving the respect he currently gets but he's a very easy fighter to hate

    Why?

    A: He's white
    B: He's non American
C: He has an ugly boxing style
