I thought Pac tried to box and counter in the third fight, and when that didn't work out he tried to fight more aggressively, like his old self, in the fourth match.

The thing that surprised me wasn't really the styles -- it was Marquez's power. For the first time in their matches, he actually looked like he was the power puncher. That shot that knocked Pac down the first time had a lot of power behind it. He stepped in and just clubbed Pac to the canvas with one big right hand, and Pac looked stunned/dazed by that in a way that he hasn't been in years. The actual KO shot also landed with sickening force, although that was also due to Marquez's perfect timing -- he used Pac's own momentum against him, and hit him right when Pac lunged in, boosting the impact. Marquez punched with real weight and authority in that match, and that was a key difference to me.
